Does it make sense that our hitch reciever on our TV appears too high for the tongue of the TT?  It was perfect height for our Vue but since we upgraded to the Ram it looks like the front of the TT will be too high (and the back will drag)  We brought the truck to the dealer to get it lowered but it still looks too high. . . any pick-up owners out there who care to share their towing experience??

If you have a fixed hitch like my 03 Chevy, you may be out of luck. The KZ just does not look right hooked up to it.

If you have a newer model GM truck/SUV like my wife's, it has the square hitch mount. We just made sure to get a mount with a very large drop. The RV dealer got several & we tried each one until we found the right combination. The 1st 2 we used had too small of a drop. The 3rd was just right & now the trailer is perfectly level when we use the SUV.

The back of the trailer has a pretty low clearance, so the dealer wanted it to be low at the front to make up for it.

Hope your trip goes well.

We have a 2010 Dodge Ram with a square hitch mount.  We just bought a new reciever with adjustable drop.  It's all good now!  But I hear you on the low back clearance – we almost lost the drain pipes! Surprised
