With fall here and in some parts of the country there is already snow I was wondering who is still camping? I know fall is my favorite time of year to camp, and it hasnt remained cold enough here yet to finally stow the Classic, so hopefully I will have a couple of weekend trips left to go. Usually in fall I like camping by the lake and enjoying a small campfire all day , watchng the black birds fly in unison making fluild shapes against the blue blue sky. I also like to have friends over to the campsite for a nice crab boil. Seems the campgrounds thin out a little and the quietness of just hearing the breeze rustle against the brittle leaves is so relaxing. Looking forward to heading out this weekend, hopefully theyll be some nice color to enjoy before all the trees turn bare, but thats also nice. So………anyone got any fall plans??

I camp all year round.  Been a full time RVer for 19 years now.  I downgraded from a 33 foot motorcoach to my 2011 14RB 2yrs. ago to prepare for my soon to be retirement.  Alot smaller than my coach. Since buying it new in 2012 the inverter has gone bad, waterheater tank sprung a leak at one of the welds, roof has leaked twice (two different places).  Not real impressed with the overall longivity of the Sportsman so far.  But I knew it was cheap when I bought it.Confused

Sorry to hear about the problems Deacon Blue.  I bought my 14RB back in December and have only been able to take it out 3 times.  I plan on doing some camping this winter. I'm in Colorado so the weather one day can be pleasant and the next cold and snow.  If there is a favorable weather forecast, I plan on dropping down to southern New Mexico for a short camping trip.  Upon return, I will simply re-winterize.

I had only 1 problem with my new KZ.  One of the awning arms got bent causing the telescoping mechanism to bind.  Had an appointment with my dealer for the middle of August.  I finally got my unit back just 3 weeks ago!  Bummer.  Took the dealer a week to contact KZ for warranty approval.  KZ said not, but to contact Carefree Awining.  That took the dealer another week to get approval from Carefree (now it's Labor Day weekend).  Then it took a full month for the dealer to obtain a simple part from Carefree (first week of October).  I think the dealer lost my order, but I am happy with the repair.

Camp On!

I've had my 14RB for a year now and have taken it out 5 times.  The only problem I've had is that the little metal knob that changes the awning into retract mode broke in half.  Actually, I had another one as well, but it's probably because I'm new to this – when I started the heater the smoke alarm went off and in my panic broke the thermostat, later to discover that it was just burning off the residual oil from the manufacturing process.  Live and learn.

It's getting cold and rainy here in Seattle but I hope to take it out one more time before winterizing it and tarping it.  So far I love it.

I would like to take my motorcycle in my hauler,  camp and ride the Pacific Coast Hwy.  Seen pictures, looks awsome. I am closer to Fla. panhandle so I hope to get there soon, maybe fish and ride the bike if weather permits.
