What are most people using for levelers on your Sportsmen? My sportsmen came with two real stabilizer jacks and I've purchase two lightweight aluminum adjustable jack stands for the front. What Im considering is those plastic interlockable levelers called lynx levelers. Or I can simply cut some 2×6 and 1×6 pieces of wood too. I checked out the BAL leveler at camping world saturday, boy that seems handy, however its kinda heavy and bulky and for 80 dollars I would really have to think that one through lol.

Hi, Kim!  Instead of the plastic interlocking levelers, I'm using 3 each 1″ x 6″ x 32″(actual size) green-treated deck stair treads; and, 1 each 2 x 6 (1-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ x 32″ actual).   I also, cut 5 each 1″ x 6″ x 9″ long (stair tread stock) for use as stabilizer pads.  I called BAL Mfg. to determine the max load for their BAL Leveler (with the screw adjustment), but found that they were going to be marginal, at best, after supplies were added to the TT.  Do consider using the BAL Single Wheel Chock, however.  We first purchased one at $60.00, delivered and later decided to get another one.  They really lock the single 13″ rim/tire in place, even fits our replacement Maxxis ST185/80R13.  I can see where they would be difficult to use with 14″ rim/tire combos, though.

When we experience our first flat tire, I'm planning to use my wood levelers and a 2-1/2″ x 8″ x 24″ actual, as base for a 2500 lb. hydralic jack.

I replaced the leveling jacks that the manufacturer installed for 4 Ultra Fab leveling jacks. Little lighter than the BAL jacks, but I would rather have 4 heavy duty jacks versus 2 lightweight jacks that I have seen bend and twist over time.

I also use the Lynx Levellers, place them under the low side tire, under the jack pad, and under all 4 stabilizer jacks to keep the trailer from settling too much over time.

I used to carry wood, but forund the Lynx levellers work much better and I can carry 2 bags of 10 levellers in less space than the compliment of 2x6s and 1x6s I would have to carry just to level the trailer out.

Matt, how thick are the plastic levelers and why do you need to carry 2 bags of 10 each = 20 levelers ?
