I've always suspected that RV & Marine toilet paper may be a bit of an overpriced gimick, so I recently purchased a package I found on sale and put it to the test!
I purchased the "Scott" brand RV and Marine T.P. I took a single sheet of it and put it in a cup of plain water. I took a sheet of the regular ply Scott tissue and placed that in another cup of plain water. I let the two set, and after 3 hours the RV paper was still basically in tact, and did not fall apart unless you tugged on it. The regular ply fell apart easily. After about 5 hours, the RV paper was unchanged, and the regular T.P. was just about disintegrated!
I have not tested other brands of RV & Marine T.P…… So the results may be different with those. But as far as the Scott brand RV/Marine goes…..myth busted! Don't waste your $$$.
I have a question, did you test them with chemical as well? Wonder if that makes any differance?
