Well today was supposed to be the big day, I went to the dealer to pick up my brand new 16BH.  Unfortunately when we put the trailer and car together the rear end went way down.  Put scales under the trailer and the hitch weight was near 400 lbs, the car and hitch only rated for 350.  Talked to Hyundai, Reese, and a couple other hitch companies and all agreed- no can do.  It appears that the Santa Fe cannot accept a weight stab type hitch and every company said do not do this!  So I had to spend a few more bucks and get a Classic Cruiser.  Did not want to spend the money but hitch weight was half and well under my limits.

It was fun reading and planning all the mods and I was excited about getting my new toy so had a high, downer and then sort of a high (I am cheap you see) but I did end up with a really nice unit, only down is a wet bath.

Good luck to all of you.

Dave

I'm sorry to hear that Dave. Which one did you get and why did it cost you more though?
