This is a really dumb question, but my husband and I can not figure out how to turn the dining area into a bed.  We just purchased a 2011 KZ Sportsmen 16 BH.  I see the table comes down; but it looks like there are "lips" on one side of the bench to support something.  Are we missing a board or something?  HELP!

When the table is in the down position, the table edges should rest on the lip.  The lip is the support.

Yup.  The table top becomes the bed.  The cushions from the dinette fit together to form the mattress.

there should be two lips , one on each side on the bottom portion of the benches (storage areas) left and right…just fold the table leg back, lift table up and out and it will swing down and rest on those two lips forming a support for the table. If you only have one lip on one side then yes you are missing a very important piece.

Thank you all for your help–now after trying what you all have said–we realize they cut the table smaller so when it is down it won't rest (6 inches smaller) on the lips.  Now, what do we do?  Can you buy just a table to match somewhere?  Any ideas?????

Im assuming you bought this trailer used and the former owners cut down the table . My only suggestion would be to cut yourself  plywood or pressboard and laminate/paint it.Then take off the table brackets/leg off you old table and attach to your new tabletop. If I recall another classic owner replaced their table with a do it yourself piece of plywood then painted it. You might do a search on here because they had included pictures of the finished table. My only other suggestion would be to increase the width of the lip area by 3 inches on each side somehow with proper bracing. I had to replace my table with another factory table because the table braces came out of the pressboard table, and my KZ dealership actually drove up to the factory to pick it up because of the expense of shipping such a heavy piece. Lucky for me my trailer was still under warranty. Good Luck .
