Part of the reason I elected the Sportmen classic is the Window unit vs. roof AC. I've been running a 10,000 BTU window unit with a Honda EU2000i to cool a tent and fully expect it to run the 8000 BTU in my 19BH .

(One EU2000i will not run a 13500BTU roof Unit),,,

I got the gas elec fridge to ease the load and expect I may have to set the ac to fan to run the microwave but hope to not need a companion model gen.

IN praise of the EU2000I , I bought the long run 6 gallon tank and even though it's just a modified boat gas tank must say it's worth the money if your not handy,, I went camping last october set up camp and started the Gen. at about 5pm thursday evening, we didnt need AC so I offered electricity to the whole camp, we ran lights, stereo's, coffee makers, and fans for 2 trailers, two buses, and 4 tents all day friday all day saturday and till 130 sunday non stop on 5 gallons of gas,,, it will not be the same running AC but I was very impressed

Incidently the best prices I've found are at  http://www.wisesales.com/?gcli…..4AodvgPa6g    , when I bought I got free shipping and of course no sales tax, the site doesnt post the prices but I got mine a little over $300 cheaper than Northern Tool sells them for, and then no tax

I find the noise a generator puts out annoying. Maybe I would feel differently if I were camping in 100 degree plus temperatures.

Here in South Texas winter is motorcycle, camping and beach season,,,

camping would be un-doable with late night temps often still in the high 80's

The Camper is basically a dark cool place to sleep and get out of the rain when necessary.

I also detest generator noise which is why I paid the premium for the ultra quiet honda that runs at 59db which is quieter than normal conversation level, makes about as much noise as a AC unit , and even at that I try to place it where it aims away from neighbors,, which down here are prety much running their own,,,

Having said that, I love camping in the winter when it's unnecessary and quiet in the campgrounds,

of course I most often camp at events where there is no view and radios lots of lights just mean entertainment
