We just recently purchased a new 2011 spree escape 16bh. We have been on two camping trips in the last month and each time our cushion under the ac was getting wet. We intially thought the leak was coming from the outside in from the window. But this time it was driping down from the inside right under the ac down the wall. Has anyone experienced this on any sportsman classic?

Pulled in late to a CG last summer & set up quickly in the dark.

That night I had the same problem & the next morning I saw that the TT was not leveled properly. Normally I have water running down the outside of the window under the AC, but there was none, so I hoped the leveling was the problem. Never had it do that on another trip so I guess that was the cause.

By the way, I'll start a CG review. That happened at Wind Creek SP in Alabama. Highly recommended. Great park.

Maybe yours is being picky and has to be parked with a lean to the driver's side…  Wink  Actually it sounds like something I'd take back to the dealer for a look-see.  Maybe something needs to be done.

Agree with Mike.

Ever since the above incident, I put a slight tilt towards the AC side. Not enough to notice without a level, but just ever so slightly.

I think if I was having your problem, a trip to the dealer would be on the agenda. The AC is only gonna see more work from here on out. We hit 89 degrees Saturday.

Good luck.

There is a sheet of aluminum with the sides folded up that sits under the A/C to direct the water outside.  There was a bead of silicone type caulk attaching the edge of the aluminum to the cabinet front.  I bet that the caulk seal wasn't complete.  Unfortunately, it's not easy getting to the area to reseal.

Just remembered that we forgot to caulk before putting on the new cabinet face with our a/c mod.

Welcome, Famo!

First time out I leveled TT front to back and side to side.  Ran A/C and found that condensation ran down the wall inside the TT……had to remove bottom of wardrobe, so could dry out the wood and vinyl flooring, before the mold began.  Ever since the second time out, I raise the A/C opposite side of TT one inch greater than the A/C side.  This does not impact the refer, as it's important to level the TT front to back, but the refer can be tilted forward or backward, as the case might be , without injury.
