I've had my 16 bh back to the dealer several times because ac doesn't drain even if I tilt to that side when setting up. I'm sure their getting upset with me but I've never had to pay anything they have covered it forme,so I can't complain.  They've even raised the front of ac new drain pan I don't know what else. Unit runs great just when I come home all the water in the pan ends up inside and now the surround  it has some water damage. Has anyone come up with a fix I don't want it to keep messing up my cabinet around it

my understanding of these units is that they use the condenser fan (outside fan) to actually dip into the condensate pan and sling the water onto the hot outside coil to both get rid of the water and cool the system some.  im not sure if they had tennessee or missouri in mind when they did that. ( good god wont this rain stop!)  with us, the ac goes off just before everything is locked down which leaves the pan full to slosh around, weting the corner of the bed.

i am going to try this on the next outing; after making the camper road ready, turn off the ac but leave it set to fan while we tak a hike or something for twenty minutes or so.  hopefully this will give the unit time to sling all the water out.  when i get ready to leave, i will turn off the breaker on the pole, unplug and leave…

whoever is praying for rain…. cut it outLaugh

well, that did not  work.  plan b is probably going to be a call to kz.  one end of of a $300 mattress got soaked yesterday while the camper side to side level was a quarter bubble out, l know that they will pass me off to fridgadare who will tell me the unit was never intended to be installed in a camper.  i will ultimately pass the problem to the only ac guy i trust, my dad. ( been retired for twenty years and has forgotten (unfortunatly) more than most will ever know about these contraptions, (his words not mine)) Cool

We went camping a few weeks ago and ran the AC constantly for 7 days straight, had the trailer tilted slightly to the AC side and it drained great.

Temps were in the 90's and we were cool as popsicles. Also had a small swimming pool of water condesate where it ran down the side just below the water heater. Will try and divert this when I get time.

Sorry your having trouble with yours whitedvr, hope you get it worked out soon.
