After the first trip in our new 2011 16bh tried to turn the lights on running only batt power…nothing…20 amp #6 fuse was blown.  Put in a new fuse and it popped also. Read the post about several people having problem with the converter and a dismal customer service from the supplier.

Update: checked in line fuse link to battery and its ok.  When you plug in batt charger to battery and try to run lights nothing works and a new 20 amp fuse does not blow.

Any suggestions?

It is probably out of warrenty since it sat in the garage from March to now due to a medical issue in the family.

My literature is vague…one place says 90 days, another 1 year.  Any thoughts on this also?

I posted on the other thread about my difficulties with WFCO. I had a problem with the same fuse and finally had the converter replaced. The WFCO warranty is for 2 years from the date of original purchase of the trailer. The KZ warranty, I believe, is for 6 months from the date of purchase.

From your post, it sounds as if your KZ warranty period is over, but your WFCO warranty is still in effect. The dealer you bought the trailer from should be able to help you get warranty service from WFCO. My problem is that WFCO will not honour the warranty when contacted by the selling dealer or by me. Maybe they will respond better for you than they have for me.

Good luck.

I inquired to KZ about the length of the warranty due to conflicting information. I received via e-mail,  and saved the reply from KZ confirming a 1 year timeframe.

As I understand 2010 models…..6 month warranty, while 2011 models……one year warranty.

When I had electrical problems, I bypassed the dealer, going directly to KZ Customer Service who supplied a new part and authorized re-imbursement for Minnesota licensed Electrician to do the installation and completely check the system for other potential problems.
