Just completed a 3,200 mile maiden voyage with our 19BH towed by our Wrangler Unlimited. We went down dirt roads, steep driveways, Texas hill country and bumpy roads and I'm pleased to report no issues with bottoming out or tires scraping the wheel wells. I didn't want the extra height due to aerodynamics with the Jeep and since I have three kids (easier to get in and out). My 19BH is a 2011 so they may have fixed issues that had occurred in the past. Note: the bumper on the bottom has two metal V's to protect the undercarriage and grey/black water discharges, don't know if this is new for 2011. One thing I do know is having the weight distribution hitch and stabilizer bars hooked up, the trailer is perfectly level to the road. I did move the TT around at home with the regular hitch and Jeep, it didn't sit level and definitely would have had issues bottoming out since the rear was down quite low.

We do still have problems with bottoming out, mostly pulling out of drives onto the road – we hit bottom last trip about 4 miles from home when we stopped for gas.  We've talked about flipping the axle, but were waiting until the warranty ran out as we were told it would negate the warranty.

After reading all of the issues in the forum re: axles and bottoming out I almost didn't buy the TT. The dealer that I purchased the TT from told me if I had any issues they would add shims or flip the axles for me. For 2011 they apparently made changes and also increased the tires, this could be why I'm not experiencing the issues. I was concerned with the bottoming out issue and this was our maiden voyage with the TT,perhaps overly cautious. on some of the steep driveways I went at an angle. Will be going to Florida through Tennessee and Kentucky so my next trip report may be different than Texas hill country.Wink

Yes those V's are there, but hearing them scrape all the time is annoying and not really good for trailer. I don't see how anyone can NOT have a problem with the V's hitting constantly.

I've never had the 14RK front or rear "V"s strike……only occasionally the front jack post foot scrubs the ground while pulling out of a parking lot / driveway……I always go at an angle.
