Those shades look fine.  Where did you buy them?  (If online, do you have a link?)

I see you put a picture frame up on the wall.  I was thinking about that very thing, but could not think of how to keep it from falling down during travel.  How did you mount it?  (Or, do you take it down while driving?)  Great minds think alike, they say.  Cool

As far as the bed, we also plan to leave the dinette made up as a bed full time.  But my thought was to eventually get an ordinary mattress (no need for box spring) to use instead of the cushions, and we already have a 1.5″  memory foam topper that we had recently bought for our previous trailer.  Gotta have that foam nowadays, it makes the beds feel so much nicer.

2 more days before I pick up the new Escape.  For that first day I may spend more time in the trailer (in the back yard) than in the house.  Laugh  Waiting is hard.

Nice upgrades Julie.  I like them both.

I finally had a trip where I needed the dinette but normally ours is set up all the time.  And I've been trying to figure out what to do with our setup.  Also, I have a double foam mattress set up for the bunk – one of the original plus a firmer foam bunk mattress underneath.  I still have a "hole" where we sit and where my hips fit.  I would like a firmer mattress for the bunk without spending $300-400.

I like the honeycomb shades – I will have to look for them.  Mine don't clank so much but they are still a pain to raise and lower.  I have a really narrow window next to the door, that one may be trickier to find.

Wooo hooo!!!  Almost pick up day!  Enjoy that new Escape!  So what trips have you already planned? Laugh

Happy Camping,

Julie

Next week is spring break and I'm off work, so I hope to camp in Petit Jean State Park near Russellville AR.  I was there once before and it was great, and many trails remain to be hiked.

I found some of these shades on the Lowe's website, thanks.  They look promising.  Once they are in place can be they raised and lowered, or do they just hang all the time?

Thanks for the added information – I was trying to figure out which brand you had gotten.  And my AC is in the same spot as yours, so that's good to know about reaching the screw.

STUFF AND THINGS

The Bed– The bed support collapsed last time out.So I added hard wood 1/2 by 4″ vertical supports to both sides of the bed box.

As we leave the dinette down installed a 4″ memory foam from JSKE store -works great.

Close hanger fell off so I put same type of wood (from old bed boards) and used small bolts instead of screws.

Plastic drawer type containers under cook top.

ALSO MADE WOODEN COVER FOR THE AIR CONDTIONER for winter storage.

I remove the battery and use a maintenance type charger on it. Be sure to check the water in the battery.

Will try to take some photas when it warms up here.

Floods coming -running ham radio at sand bag volunteer centre. Bye for now..
