Try this again

The trim on the shelf is from the part cut out.  Also note that we lowered the end to make a short headboard/armrest.  We weren't going to use the top bunk and this way we can use the lower bunk without banging our heads.

Very awesome!  We also don't use our top bunk, but I just can't part with all the storage space!! :)

I may regret losing the storage space but I love having the space to sit, especially when the dinette is made as the bed.  And it opened the window up so there's more light.

Now I just need to find a decent mattress for the bunk.  Even with the two stock mattresses stacked, it's really soft.  Once I settle on the mattress, I will get a cover made to coordinate with the rest of the cabin.  I have a friend who sews and can get the fabric for not too bad a price at http://www.rvfabric.com
