I've been reading and hearing how the 10 gallon blackwater can fill up quickly. I have seen the portable tanks you can buy and haul with you to handle the load, but it's more work long term than I want.

This is where I started thinking of upgrading the existing BW tank instead. I'm wondering if anyone else has considered this route or already did it.

I would love to do this one, too. That is really the only gripe I have about my 14RB is the size of the tanks. They are just too small for more than a couple of days. I would love to install a bigger tank for both gray and black.

Yup, and the 16BH has the same sized tanks as the 14RB. You know now that I'm thinking on it more, I'm wondering if KZ might be interested in offering upgrades at a price. It'd be nice to get it done by the MFG, but I will go to a third party if it comes to it.

I think I'd be happier if I could get maybe 2-4 more gallons out of the gray and black water tanks.

Only thing to be concerned about is the tanks may be too heavy when full also. The trailer frame and axles are designed for "x" ammount of weight at certain points, and with a gallon of water weighing approximately 8 lbs, a 10 gallon tank is approximately 80 lbs and the designers probably figured that into the design of the TT.

I've been weighing that myself, I've got a 15 gallon grey and a 9 gallon black on my 19BH where the 19SB has both 15 gallon black and 15 gallon grey tanks.

I'm aware of the weight. I was hoping they might have a 12 gallon BW tank to replace the 9 in there now. This should keep the weight under the max load while giving me a little more time before i have to empty it.

I've emailed KZ a week or so ago inquiring exactly this. I'm hoping the engineers will sign off on it.

Steve, the other problem is normally the commode sits directly over the tank and is basically sealed to it like your home unit is with the gasket.  In desperate times with our earlier trailer we had a trick we used.  If you see it getting full and still cannot dump the tank, simply use good plastic trash bags and place it in the bowl, close the lid over the  bag top to hold it in place. When finished pull out the bag and seal it shut. Have a garbage pail with a lid outside and put the bag there until you are able to empty the tank. We have been in remote places and had to do this for several days. Just don't kick over the pail,

Bye Aerbus, Yes, it was nice and big , but we will show our new Little Classic 14 many beautiful places. Lets get it on the Road, or Dirt, or?
