Hi, I've been browsing the forum for awhile and am finally getting around to introducing myself.  My wife and I purchased a 2013 14RB a couple of months ago and are very pleased.  We had previously owned an older Casita 16.  It was a good RV except for a couple of things.  Those things were remedied by the KZ.  I can now stand up straight and sleep fully extended.  The main problems I have with the KZ is the bathroom and the bed.  I have remedied the bed by putting an air mattress under the KZ mattress (pad).  The 14 we bought does not have a dinette in the front of the trailer.  Instead, it has a permanent bed.  For our purposes, this seems to be a good option.  The bathroom is another thing.  I am just slightly over 6 feet.  I can manage the shower just fine but the toilet is a challenge.  Forget about modesty.  It isn't happening with the door closed.  Still, for the length and options, we are satisfied with our KZ.  I enjoy reading the suggestions and remedies I read on the forum and hope I will be able to add some also.

Ha! I'm 5″7 and its knee to door for me.  otherwise its a great trailer.  glad to know that you feel like you upgraded, since i felt like i had not given scamp and casita a fair chance when we bought our 14rb.

The 190 ain't no better when it comes to bathroom space.  I'm 6' and squirming for space on the hopper.  It's still a long shot better than schlepping through the wet grass to some grungy 'ol port-o-pooper though.

Welcome aboard!  What are you pullin' it with?

Glad to have you. Where abouts in So Tx is your spread. We're outside of Corpus Christi.

It's nice to go camping year round.

We use a Nissan Exterra.  It hardly knows it's there.  I can't help but think there is a simple answer to the bathroom space, door, etc.  Maybe we'll come up with it.

I've read some of your posts.  We live off of FM 624, on the way to Orange Grove.  We planned to use the KZ in Beeville next weekend for a prison ministry.  Turns out that I broke my ankle and the camper is going to sit in the back yard for awhile.Frown  You are up on the lake, aren't you?

I have entertained something like this http://www.toysrus.com/product…..8;pla=plat as a plan b.  of course there would be trade offs here too.

Well, Howdy neighbor!

We do live on the lake. Just off FM 888.

Maybe we'll get together some time on the lake @ the State Park or KOA, or even Sunrise Park.

Anyway, my idea for the bath door issue would be to lose the door and put up a nice curtain. That should give you more leg room. It's no like the doors do much for sound privacy anyway.

Maybe you could modify the door to make a nice dining table, shelf, or something.

Of course if you lose the door, then you lose all the storage by having door hooks!!! Surprised

Welcome to Larry and Mary Jayne!  And I hope the ankle heals soon.
