Hi everyone.  I am new to the world of TT and just bought a new 19SB.  I am so excited to pick it up next weekend and have learned so much from reading everyones posts on this forum.  I am a bit anxious after reading some thoughts on TVs.  Although the 14 RB was our first choice due to our limited towing abilities, I felt very claustrophobic inside.  That really surprised me because I thought nothing could be worse than being inside a small tent.  Cry  But after spending about 30 minutes discussing the ins and outs of the 14 RB, just sitting on the couch, I started to feel uncomfortable.  So we were going to look at a a slightly bigger model but the only one that had a rooftop air conditioner was the 19 SB which I absolutely fell in love with.  I was worried about the smaller air conditioner in the bigger units since we live in the middle of Texas.  Hubby says not to worry about our the tow weight as we are still under our tow limit and we only go on small weeekend camping trips with very little supplies. Sure hope he's right.   Confused  Looking forward to our maiden voyage and can't wait to swap information with everyone on this site.Cool

I can tell you the small AC in the 16BH does not keep up with Texas summers – at least during the day.  We found ways to cope though, including fans.  At night, it's pretty good.

You didn't say what you are towing with, but if I remember correctly the 19' is about 4-500 pounds more than mine dry weight.

I hope you enjoy yours as much as I am after just a month.  We've been able to get out twice and this weekend did a lot of putzing around – almost like driveway camping :)

I'm still trying to figure out where to store everything.  DBF made a comment about me and my storage binsLaugh.  Because storage is at such a premium, I'm trying to make the most of it.

I'm almost scared to say what we're towing with because I already know the comments will be negative.  We are pulling with a V6 Dodge Ram.  Hopefully it will only be for one summer and we can get a new tow vehicle this time next year.  Most everyone on this site that is towing with a V6 has the 14 RB.  So I know the 19SB will have everyone shuddering.  Again, most of our trips will be locally and for weekend jaunts to the lake – less than 20 minutes away.  We have a bin that we currently carry in our truck that holds the tent, cookies supplies, etc and I know it weighs less than 100 pounds.  I don't think we'll be carrying too much more just because we have a camper.  We are still under the tow limit with our bodies and supplies aboard (just barely) and DH has been towing for years and appears to know what he's doing so I just have trust that it'll all work out.  This site has been so helpful and I have already learned so much.  I think these TT are awesome.  Can't wait to hook up and head out. Cool

Brought home our 19SB today.  We actually spent the night in a friend's driveway.  We opened up all the windows since it was a fairly cool night (60's).  It was a bit stuffy at times but definitly comfortable.  Even without foam from Wally World, the bed was comfortable enough.  The V6 Ram towed with no problem.  We hit a few hills which we did end up losing speed on but nothing below 50mph.  DH already took the table out once we got home and said he didn't like it.  Don't know how much that thing weighs but it feels like 60 lbs atleast, so that should take some weight off us for the next trip.  We plan to use lightweight TV trays for now.  It's just the two of us and for the most part we are used to eating outside at the campground picnic tables and don't plan to eat indoors much.  We got about 14 mpg while towing.  Again, I can't say enough how much I love these TT's.  Will post on another thread once we go on our maiden voyage usiing all appliances.

Im glad to hear your towing and experience is good.  Im about to purchase one myself and left some posts in the towing section on this.

I noticed here someone said the dry weight was 4500?   As far as I know the dry weight is around 2600.  I got this info from the kz site, it says 2590 on another site as well.  If its 4500 I definitely wont purchase the unit, but my tv is a f150 with the v6 like your dodge.

Cant wait to hear more about how things go.

Oops, my mistake, I read that post wrong,  4 to 500 pounds more.     My apologies, I thought it said the trailer was 4500.    I should wear my glasses more often.

Hi everyone. We just bought a 2011 19SB used. It was bought and used for 4-6 months at one RV park by a Canadian man. He said it was just too small to stay in for a long time so he traded for an older, larger unit. His loss, our gain. We picked it up for almost half the new retail price and it is literally brand new. Lots of extras to boot. We're driving to North Georgia, Tallulah Gorge State Park, next week from Florida (500 miles). It should be a good test. We have a GMC Yukon so towing shouldn't be a problem, paying for gas might be though. LOL I'll post after we return. Smile We've camped in an Aliner which was a lot of fun but a little cramped. We're wanting to take our dogs with us, both nearly 90#. They're not going to Georgia this time though. Wish us luck…
