My wife, eight year old daughter and I just picked up our 16 BH today.  After looking at several trailers we decided the Sportsmen Classic best fit our needs.  I had the front window installed, had a Fantastic Fan installed where the living area vent was, replaced the 10 gallon fresh water tank with a 16.5 gallon tank and had a monitor installed for the three tanks.  I also added a pair of brackets to the rear bumper to carry a Barker tote.  I'm a little concerned with the height of the black/gray outlets discharging into the tote but I'll wait and see what happens.  I've probably read all the forum topics and appreciate all the advice and feedback from all the members.

Our first outing will be Wed., Thurs., and Fri. at Knoebels Grove amusement park in central PA.  This has been an annual trek for us but the past years had us sleeping on the ground in a tent.  I believe our comfort level has now been upgraded.  We are all very excited and can't wait to get on the road.  We also camp in the Mohican area and Hocking Hills area of Ohio.

Thanks again for everybodies contribution to the forum and hope to meet up with some other Sportsmen Classic owners.

Hello, Jason

You picked a winner in 16BH…..enjoy and report back after your maiden voyage.

Actually, I believe that a person can't go too wrong with any of the Sport. Classics.

Jason, what mfg. monitor did you have installed to monitor the fresh / black / gray tanks?

Hey Jason, wlcome to the group! I'm also curious about the tank monitors :)  And that fresh water tank upgrade sounds like a great idea, I'll file that away in my to-do list.  Do you have a pic of your brackets for the waste water tote?  I'm hoping to be able to DIY instead of taking it into the dealer for something so simple :)

John, I'll get back to you on the mfg. of the monitor.  I have to store the trailer by my office and i can't remember off the top of my head.

Lynne, I'll take pictures during our trip and post when we get back.  The brackets are actually bicycle brackets, according to the mfg., but looking at them I justy don't see why.  The brackets are sold as a pair with each being approx. 18″ x 24″.  They come with u-bolts and hardware that attaches to the rear bumper.  I installed them side by side creating a 4 ft long deck off the bumper.  I moved the spare tire towards the right side of the bumper so I have plenty of room for the tote.  It lays on the "deck" and will be fastened with a couple ratchet straps.  My dealer sells the pair of "bike racks" for $75, but had a slightly used set he sold to me for $30.  Definitely don't need a dealer for this.

We can't wait for Wednesday!  Have a great week everybody.

Jason
