Howdy,

Just picked up our new 2012 18RBT on Friday!  We had gone to look at a 16 and a 19 (both hybids), not really intending to buy anything just yet.  The dealer (Arrow RV of Homosassa, FL) had just gotten in this 18, not even opened up or preped yet.  The layout suited us very well, with the larger frig than the 16, the bigger awning and nice open plan.  Couldn't resist!  We are moving up from an old (1999) Coleman Nevada pop up, that we have been using as rolling tent.  Great times, but needed something a bit larger, easier to set up and more secure for when we take day trips away from camp.  I think the Sportsman will fit the bill nicely!  Hope to do the first trip middle of next week.Laugh

Welcome fleetswing.  I'm sure you'll enjoy your hybrid.  We're not too far from you in Orange Park and purchased our first ever camper a few months ago.  Have only been out once so far.  Getting anxious for another outing.

I expect we will.  Have a short trip planned in a week or so, but places were scarce on such short notice and with the Holidays.  We'll do Anastasia in March and Hillsbourough a little later, so it will get a break in!

Not sure if you're familiar with Hanna Park in Jax Beach.  Nice place and half price thru Feb.

Okay I didn't know they made a 18 foot..I like the interior layout of the couch and dinning table… That's my one issue I'm having with buying the 19sbt cause the groucho is almost useless cause with the bathroom and the closet you can't see around or over these to talk.. So that leaves just the dinner table to sit..

That was exactly our dislike of the 19.  I think if you wanted two seperate seating areas, it would work.  Perhaps seperating the adults from the kids!  No pictures that I could find either.  I'll see if I can take and post some.

Can you recommend any campgrounds in the Cedar Key area?  Thinking of going there in a few months and researched 3 or 4  online.

Have not camped on Ceder Key.  Closest we have been camping is Manatee Springs.  Very pretty park as are most of the State Parks in FL.  Nice boardwalk down to the river and the manatees are in the springs in the winter.  When we were there we saw 6 or 7 as I recall.  It was in the winter a couple of years ago, can't remember which month off the top of my head.

Well after hearing about the 18rbt I called the dealer Monday and we started going over numbers and prices and what I will need and won't need.. And I went back today and ordered one pending my approval of the interior as I have only seen pictures of them.. If I don't like it I think I will get the 16rbt…

This is why I visit forums too find this stuff out. Thank you for posting..

Im excited and can't wait..

The video of the Spree is what the inside of my Sportsman looks like except:  cabinets a bit darker (think Cherry), no stereo, floor a slate looking vinyl, cushions on sofa a plainer design, and of course no choice on fabrics. Mine are pleasant, in darker tans and browns.
