Hi everyone. Been watching this forum off and on since we got our 2011 Sportsmen

Classic 16FKTH toy hauler. I've enjoyed and appreciated the comments and

modifications that y'all have made to your Sportsmen. Like the website says: we

were attracted to the simplicity, size and towability of the smaller trailer. We like the

toy hauler because of the space it offers compared to regular travel trailers. We also

like the way the bed folds down to give a nearly king-sized bed with easy access to

the bathroom (important for middle aged campers in the middle of the night). Also,

the flexibility to use it as a utility trailer to haul stuff in. We had an F-150 when we

bought the KZ but have since changed to a Dodge Grand Caravan since we don't

need the extra tow capacity any longer – sad to say the towing gas mileage didn't

improve :-( .   We've owned larger RVs – nice to camp in but a real pain to tow. We

never went anywhere. So we decided to get a lighter, smaller camper and the

Sportsmen was the best fit for us.

Recent circumstances have caused us to move into the Sportsmen full time! We've

been in it about 5 weeks now – me, my wife and three Chihauhuas! I thought I'd join

the forum to share some of the things we've done to make the Sportsmen more

comfortable.

list of mods:
"Command" adhesive backed hooks to hang towels from.
Soapdish in shower (hung from small Command hooks).
Plastic jar toilet paper holder.
$20 toaster oven (Rival brand from Wal-Mart) hung beneath the kitchen cabinet on a

Closet- Maid suspended basket (hung from small eye hooks).
Three plastic stackable shelves (wally world).
Two six-foot Closet-Maid wire shelves over the couches (Home Depot) with two

suspended baskets.
We replaced the stock folding table with a small one from Wal-Mart.
Four small corner shelves from Home Depot.
Two sets of coat hanger hooks from Wal-Mart to hang my work clothes from.
Shelves were hung in such a way as to keep the cargo area clear for "toy haulin'".

I'm off to the "mods" section to see if I can get pictures to post.

Howdy!  Sounds like you are making it your own with storage options.  I  know I have made quite a few mods to my 16BH – but I don't know that I could live in mine, especially since mine is very limited in floor space.  My dogs are just a weeeeeeeeeeee bit larger than yoursWink
