Well the other day I did a roof inspection on my 19BH. I wasn't happy, but I wasn't upset about what I found.

The seams that were sealed with Dicor around the vents, holding tank exhaust pipes, and antenna were in excellent shape.

The Dicor sealant around the edges of the roof where the roof has been expanding and contracting due to exposure to the sun, the cold, the snow, was in some spots cracked anywhere from a pinhole to 2 inches long.

So my solution…..grab the caulking gun with a tube of Dicor self leveling lap sealant, and reseal over the existing Dicor, working the new sealant into the cracks and then putting excess over the whole spot where the crack or hole was.

Interestingly, in the tube of Dicor, it states to check every 3 months. I do mine every 6 months just like KZ recommends, but with the way the Dicor was cracking due to stretch, I'll be checking more often, and I added another tube of Dicor to the parts bin under the kitchen sink, figure just in case I need to seal a leak while camping away from home.

Great reminder Matt! I found this great informative youtube video on how to inspect for cracks and application of dicor that might be useful. I need to get the ladder out this weekend and inspect my roof!!

Well I inspected my roof and the dicor looks good no cracks, except there is a slight separation looks like on the sides, so I ran to camperworld and got some dicor and will be applying that along the edges this weekend after I clean with mineral spirits.
