We have looked at the Casita, but for the money you can't beat the Sportsman Classic. We visited Crestview in Buda to look at the 14RB and the 16BH. Unfortunately no 16 in stock. We have decided to wait until we can physically look at the 16BH. We drive a FJ Cruiser and really don't want to pull over 3500 lbs. My only concern is the shower walls. Anyone have any problems? We have rented RV's in the past, but with the price of gas, we decided on a TT. We so glad to have found this site for advice, because we will need all we can get!

We had the same decision – 2011 14RB vs. 2010 16BH and went with the 16BH.  Our main reasons – DBF is 6'6″ (yes, he has to duck to stand up in the TT) and having the second bed with the bunks was a big help – that way we don't have to do the crawl over one another to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night.  Also the extra 2 feet gave us a pantry closet (at least that's what we are using it for since it's next to the kitchen.

Granted we lost open floor space and with 2 big dogs, that's a factor as well.  But as the only time we are all in the trailer is usually for sleeping – it works out.

We did take out the top bunk, so we can use the lower bunk as a sitting area as well.

We've only used the shower one time (used the park facilities the other time we've been out) so I'm no expert on how the shower area is going to stand up over time.  I do have a squeegy for use after the shower.  I was interested in the mod thread where the shower walls were added, but we haven't made any effort to attempt that mod yet.

Welcome Clarabels!

Sounds like a good plan to wait and see both models in person to decide what will best suit your needs.  Wink

We have the 14RB and just LOVE it (2 adults and 1 large dog)!  We have used our shower extensively and have not had a problem with moisture damaging the walls.  I have a squeegie hanging on a 3M hook on the back wall of the shower, so we just give the walls a quick scrape when we're done.

Best of luck!

Julie

Thanks for all  your help!
