Howdy,

Just got an 18RBT and need an additional mirror or two for towing, etc.  The new lodging is 90″ wide and the tow vehicle is a 2006 Tacoma.  Wondering what others are using for towing.  Thanks in advance for the input.

We're towing our 19BH with a 2005 Frontier, 6300# towing.  Purchased Milenco Grand Aero mirrors from our dealer in JAX.  They're a little pricey but easy on and off and great view.

Thanks, I'll check them out.  Where in Jax did you get them?

Purchased the mirrors from Dick Gore's RV World in Jacksonville, 904-741-5100.

There are 2 models, the Aero 2 and the Grand Aero.  We got the Grand Aero.  The link in the above post differentiates the two models.

those are very nice, but at $110 per side and thumb wheel attachment i would worry that they would walk off.   i currently use $13 a side camping world strap ons. they do the job but shake a bit.  i have been looking around for a better option too.   a lot of people like the McKesh mirrors but they seem overkill for a sportsmen. they are almost as expensive as the milienco, but lack the cool factor. ( they remind me of the day that sedans pulled campers with huge mirrors straped to their fenders)  i have been looking at the CIPA 11960 online.  they look good, but have mixed reviews.  anyone have an opinion on these or another recommendations?  the oem mirrors are almost good enough by themselves but i loose close following traffic and curbs in parking lots.Yell

$110 EACH is outrageous.  We paid LESS than $110 for the PAIR and remove them once we're set up.

i will have to revisit then, i really liked them.  i was looking at amazon. their discription lead me to believe there was only one in the box.

Bought a "set" of Milenco Aero 2.  they look great, and feel very solid. I cant wait to use them.(coming your way on 3/16 to yak the Ichetucknee River and maybe a little coastal waters) thanks for the recomendation! i think they were $90 and change on amazon ( no tax and free shipping for now)Smile

that is a picture from the internet,  i will post one of my own when i can. they look huge in this picture, however they are really about average size for suv/small pickup mirrors. they will extend way out though and have been built to tough euro standards (they test and certify mirrors over there it would seem )

I  use these from CIPA.  I have a 2002 F150 Supercrew and for some reason that particular model was very difficult to find appropriate mirrors.

Hope you like the mirrors and enjoy the Ichetucknee – a great place.  Let us know any other yak spots in FL you visit.

I saw Reese mirrors at Wally world for $25 per side. I was thinking about trying those.

for our application, i would have to say the milinco mirrors mentioned in these post rank about third in the im glad i bought that category. (right behind the camper itself and the full size mattress). you can "accidentally" do 80 mph (down hill of course) and they just hang there motionless.  also, i can take them off after our October trips then put them back on in march without having to adjust them.  you just loosen the clamps that attach them to the truck mirrors and put them away till you need them again.  they come with a little storage bag but you would have to mis-adjust them to put back in so it stays in the garage drawer somewhere.
