I realized I haven't posted pics of all my other mods we've made to the 16BH since we've owned it.  Some ideas I got here, some I came up with on my own.  And I still have a list of other mods I would like to do – mainly opening up easier access to the bench storage areas.

When we first bought the trailer, before we even took delivery, we had the dealer cut out part of the top bunk so that we could actually use the lower bunk for seating.  Plus, it's easier for me to use the bunk without the top bunk in the way.

I found a cheap plastic shelving unit at Wal-Mart, cut down the leg spacers and put 2 back to back on each level to add storage for the bedding and stuff.  The boards with the cup hooks are velcroed to the wall, although I have now reinforced the velcro glue on one side with gorilla glue – so the velcro is permanent at least.  I'm probably going to rework the front with new boards now that I have discovered the PVC trim and use more cup hooks on each side so that I can weave a cargo net to fit using bulk bungee cord.

You can also see the hook unit I got at Wal-Mart on the bathroom door.  I have a single on the inside but am going to change it out for the same as I have on the outside.  The single hook swings too badly and is marring the door.

We put a couple of wire shelves in the closet to make it more useable as well.  I can easily pack a week's worth of clothes by rolling the clothes (like I've done with the towels)

I got the idea for the 3-drawer cabinet on this board.  I have one drawer for silverware, one for kitchen utinsels and one for dish towels and hot pad holders. On top of the drawers I keep the veggie grilling tray for the gas grill, the cutting board, and a collapsible dish tub that is perfect for hauling stuff outside to the grill/outdoor kitchen that we use.

I'm in love with the little baskets with the handles that I have the cleaning supplies in.  The trash can is a bathroom size and just fits in the bottom of the shelf.  I use grocery bags as liners (that's why the stash next to the drawers – that and they are good for doggie walks).  The pots next to the drawers are a set I got off of qvc that are nestable with a removable handle… makes storage so much easier.

More of those baskets that I love in the pantry.

Yet another basket to store my high-end plastic glasses.  I also have a corner shelf in the upper cabinet above the sink to store my really expensive dishware – yeah I'm still using paper until I figure out whether to go with melamine or Corel for the trailer.

I also use a bunch of those baskets in the overhead storage above the dinette.  They are really handy there for keeping things organized and being able to grab a basket with the table in place.

I don't know anything about melamine, but I can attest that Corel can shatter on impact.  We have dropped a few in the house… sometimes they survive and sometimes not.  I really like Corel but won't use it in the trailer.

On the other hand, melamine isn't microwave safe, and I nuke my Corelle plates regularly.  :)
